IIVR Mission StatementThe International Institute for Visualization Research will house and nourish a body of work on spontaneous personal imagery rooted in the personal Totem Pole Process© that encompasses the areas of education, administration, research and development, documentation and practitioner support.
Objectives
Education
- Provide introductory material about the PTPP© and spontaneous personal imagery
- Provide experiences with the PTPP© from introductory level to advanced work
- Support a network of certified trainers in providing training
- Provide certification for guides, workshop leaders and trainers
- Provide information on guides, workshops and training to the public
- Provide information on imagery as a tool for personal transformation
- Provide scholarships
- Foster and maintain ethical standards
- Foster connections between people interested in the PTPP©
Administration
- Maintain an international database
- Manage the scholarship fund
- Manage the Festival fund
- Provide and maintain the website (www.deepimagery.org)
- Serve as a non-profit umbrella
- Maintain an administrative center/office
Research and Development
- Support case studies
- Explore the uses of the PTPP©/spontaneous personal imagery with other modalities
- Encourage the growth of the PTPP©
Documentation
- Maintain an archive of written and published material on the PTPP©
- Publish the ETotem Pole
- Produce and provide brochures, training materials, reports and other material about the work of IIVR
- Maintain a history of the PTPP©
Practitioner Support
- Support the development of a Practitioner's Council
- Act as an arbitrator when questions arise between practitioners and clients, and trainers and students
- Maintain a speakers bureau
- Help send representatives/speakers to conferences, professional gatherings and organizations
- Market and publicize the work
